JAY CALHOUN 
Jay Calhoun is Managing Partner of Apis Holdings. Prior to founding Apis, Jay oversaw strategic investments and built an entrepreneur-driven, buy-and-hold portfolio of successful private companies for the largest tribal nation in the United States. Jay also serves as a director for Enhatch, an AI-driven intelligent surgery SaaS-based technology company, a director for Oseberg, an AI-driven data platform for the buying and selling of real assets, a director for Certemy, a cloud-based workflow automation software for professional credential management, tracking, and verification, an independent director for Twelve Clans, a domestic sovereign wealth fund, and an independent director for F.A.C.T., a SaaS-based finance and risk management technology company. Jay also serves or has served in various leadership capacities on several civic and community boards, including the Henry Zarrow International School Foundation, i2E, Junior Achievement, 36 Degrees North, Tulsa Innovation Labs, the Oklahoma Venture Resource Council, New Mexico Community Capital, and the Michael F. Price College of Business. Jay earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he was a Toigo and Consortium Fellow. Jay is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
 
ROBERT THOMAS, CFA
Robert Thomas is a Partner at Apis Holdings and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF), where he is responsible for the financial administration and management of GKFF’s investment portfolio. Before joining the Foundation, he was a portfolio manager for the Bill Gates investment office. The Gates office invests the personal assets of Mr. Gates as well as the assets of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Robert is currently the board chair for both City Year Tulsa and Undercroft Montessori School. Originally from Washington state, Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College magna cum laude and is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) charterholder.
 
REID SPEARS, CFA
Reid Spears is a Partner at Apis Holdings and Managing Director at the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF), where he works on the Foundation's investment portfolio and assists in various philanthropic focus areas. Before joining the Foundation, Mr. Spears spent a year volunteering at an orphanage in South Africa, where he became interested in promoting early childhood education and strong family initiatives. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and the program of liberal studies. Reid is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
 
TYLER PEARSON
Tyler Pearson is a Vice President at Apis Holdings where he works on all aspects of investment and portfolio management. Prior to joining Apis, Tyler was an Investment Banking Associate with Citi, Private Equity Associate with Argonaut Private Equity, and Analyst with Goldman Sachs. Tyler earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was a Toigo Fellow. Tyler is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
 
NATE BRIM
Nate Brim is a Venture Partner at Apis Holdings, where he works with company senior leadership teams to help them define common vision, establish discipline and accountability, and promote healthy, functional and cohesive organizations. Nate is a professional implementer of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and serves as senior advisor to several business leaders. Prior to his current role, Nate co-founded and led Core Group, a Texas- and Oklahoma-based professional services firm focused on supporting entrepreneurs with payroll, accounting, taxes and wealth management. Nate was co-founder and former President of the Tulsa Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), and served as a Board Member for 36 Degrees North. Nate is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of Business Administration and is a proud citizen of the Choctaw Nation.

 

MIKE NOSHAY
Mike Noshay is a Venture Partner at Apis Holdings. He is the Co-Founder, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Verinovum, has an extensive background of more than 15 years, encompassing finance, business, entrepreneurship, and healthcare. Mike's passion for healthcare steams from this firsthand experience around the significant impact that clean, actionable data has on patient care and provider and payer quality measures. As a co-founder of Verinovum, Mike is responsible for all prospective client interactions, including product strategy, strategic planning, investor relations, marketing, and business development. He is also on Verinovum's Board of Directors. He extensive knowledge of healthcare and technolgoy stems from his tenure helping build one of the countries earliest Health Information Exchanges. Mike holds a Master if Entrepreneurship and is a former Teach for America Corps member. He lives in Tulsa with his brilliant wife and vivacious twin children.
